The World Record of becoming Youngest Mayor has been achieved by Robert ‘Bobby’ Tufts from Dorset, Minnesota, US.
He’s not even in school yet, loves cotton candy ice cream and would rather go fishing than debating. But four-year-old ‘Bobby commands a great deal of respect in one U.S. town and got the county’s top law enforcement official in his pocket.
Bobby was only three when he won election as the head of Dorset in Minnesota, which has a population of 22 to 28, depending on whether the minister and his family are in town. Dorset, which bills itself as the Restaurant Capital of the World, has no formal city government.
Every year, the town draws a name during its Taste of Dorset Festival, and the winner gets to be mayor.
